  As you know, Sweetness has experienced the sudden suspension of her adsense account with Google. (Click on the banner ads and she is paid.) She has emailed them and has been told that her account will not be reinstated. The money from those ad’s was earmarked to keep this board, (Ultimateauctions.net) and other boards open. Sweetness placed the ‘Donate’ button on the home page…hoping for donations until the ads could pay the entire bill.

  After due conversation with sweetness about how we could help to keep this site alive, she revealed the following information:

  The first message:
  “yes, they were supposed to help pay for the site and eventually move it to another server in the future if needed. I had the donate button on the front page from the first day and had planned on taking it off when it looked like the ads would support the site, but google pulled their ads and closed my account. I hate to ask for donations ”

  The second message:
  “If everyone could send 10 dollars each month it would really help keep the site running. The server bill costs 150.00 per month.”

  after requesting her permission to let everyone know….

  The final message:
  ” Yes please.. I hope they don’t think that is too much and if they can’t send anything that is okay.”

  Please, if you are able, go to the home page and hit the donate button. Sweetness needs our help…

  Hi, I’m a regular on the Q&A board. You’ve probably noticed that the banner ads at the top of the page are gone. Sweetness was using that as a small source of money to offset the cost of maintaining these boards.

  Now that Google has cut off that option, she needs another way of financing this site. If you enjoy chatting here and would like these boards to continue, consider making a small donation to help with the cost. $10/month would go a long way to keep the site going. There’s a “donation” link on the homepage that goes through Paypal.

  Sony makes a thingy to transfer VHS tapes to CD’s …I think it had other capabilities too . Saw it on Home Shopping Net….about $100.

  yes… that should be fine, you are using font size.. not a header size (h1, h2, h3) and so on.. those don’t get closed out by the chat and keep growing.

  I think you can just add in the code after each page break… the chat always adds in the closing font at each one.

  it’s a pain, but I’ve gotten used to it since there isn’t a way to get around it.

  Cynthia… this is how I got the larger font with color to show:

  <font size=”5″ color=purple>

  just type it in that way and add in the font face you want in the same line and it should show up… I hope so anyway..

  Hi Cynthia… looking at the code you are using.. to make a font larger, you need to use:

  font size=”5″ inside the brackets… just typing big in the brackets wont work here
  I’m actually not sure what size that will show.. I can try it out here.
